TopInfo Consulting staff have been involved with farm irrigation and the Rural Water industry for about thirty years. Its staff have lived and worked within the Gravity Irrigation Areas of Northern Victoria (G-MW) and southern NSW (MIL) for about 40 years.  During this time staff have worked as farmers, rural water industry employees, scientists and engineers.  However, staff have also worked in high rainfall areas and areas overseas in various capacities.

  • Hydrogeology and Hydrologic surveys (e.g. groundwater and surface water investigation, analysis and assessment),
  • Farm dam construction and safety advice (e.g. there are specific criteria for the building of farm storages),
  • Identification and advice on Blue-green Algae species and there management,
  • Advice, design and implementation of water quality monitoring programs,
  • Design and implementation of monitoring surveys for water quality, sediments and biocides (biological poisons) including nutrients and other precursors to water quality problems,
  • Interpretation of Australian, United Nations and other International water quality guidelines and standards,
  • Facilitation of Statutory Planning Permits in relation to the water industry and other government departments (e.g. septic tanks, buildings adjacent to streams and other features etc.),

  • Drainage design criteria for regional irrigation areas (e.g. incorporating natural ‘fall’ and nutrient retention),
  • Groundwater problem investigations and assessments on natural and ‘man made’ structures,
  • Salt management and mitigation programs,

  • Groundwater pump installation programs to:
    • protect agricultural areas from groundwater intrusion,
    • provide irrigation production and domestic bores,
